Oil and emulsions separators from the comprehensive OE-D program
Operational Introduction:
HANDTE oil and emulsion mist separators are mechanical aerosol separators. Aerosol-laden air is extracted from the machining centre and flows through the individual filter stages (knitted wire mesh packing).
|
Separating Principles:
- The first filtering stage serves to agglomerate and coalesce small cooling lubricant droplets in the extracted air into larger ones (droplets join and grow).
- The second stage serves to separate the droplets efficiently. The density and material of this filtering stage varies, depending on the characteristics of the aerosols to be separated.
- The fan is integrated or installed downstream at the clean air side. It either conveys the clean air back into the working area or over the roof in total quantity or divided quantities in certain cases.
- Separated aerosols flow down into the cooling lubricant collecting tank and from there through the externally-mounted siphon trap back into the process circuit.
