To humanize conditions in the workplace, HANDTE - Umwelttechnik supplies the latest booth designs with sound insulation, lighting, fully automatic sliding doors and integrated extraction systems (illus.).Directives governing working areas, the latest knowledge concerning ergonomics and regulations for the prevention of accidents are taken into consideration during the planning phase.

The illustration shows a finishing grinding operation on aluminum car body parts at the factory of a well-known subcontractor to the automotive industry. Aluminum dust is explosive, so the plant must be designed in accordance with BGR 109 regulations. The aluminum grinding dust is extracted from the booths through a duct system to a centrally-located Type STZV wet separator where it is separated from the air.
The cleaned air is discharged over the roof in accordance with "TA-Luft" regulations.
