Optional extendibility using space saving modular constructionLarge-scale installations are designed as flat bed filters or modular systems for airflow rates of up to 200,000 m³/h and unlimited extendable filter bed capacity (compare Field of applications).
Biological filter systems (biofilter) have proved successful in the elimination of organic hydrocarbon compounds and highly odorous pollutants, especially from large exhaust airflow rates.
Large plants are usually fitted with flat bed filters or stackable single modules. Flat bed filters only require a small investment and ensure increased operation safety. Their container filter design requires less floor space. Use of container filters means that the filter material is protected against disturbing environmental influences. The relatively small surface unit facilitates a homogenous flow inside the container.
The significant advantage of such systems is the simple extendibility by stacking individual modules on top of each another. Depending on the area of application, waste gas must first be conditioned before it can be fed into the biological filter. Handte Umwelttechnik has developed special scrubbers for this purpose to cover applications involving grease precipitation, dust recovery, temperature equalization and humidification. |
