Aerosol separation

Metal cutting processes in modern machining centers generate cooling lubricant mist. It contains droplets of micro size and below. Most of these droplets cannot be retained in standard mechanical separators (demister) operating on the principles of inertia force precipitation. It is therefore often difficult to reduce the residual emission below the permissible value.
