Environmental Leadership Award distinction from Daimler April 2010

 Daimler has presented the Environmental Leadership Award (ELA) every two years since 2000 in recognition of environmentally-committed projects and the efforts of internal project teams in the categories “Production-Related Environmental Protection”, “Product-Related Environmental Protection” and “Outstanding Environmental Commitment”, thus honouring pioneering projects for the promotion of environmental protection and sustainability in the company. The award is made by the Board to motivate and stimulate the interest of the workforce in environmental protection and in recognition of the efforts of personnel to achieve sustainability in this respect. The team in Stuttgart received an accolade as a finalist for the successful "Enhancement of energy efficiency in production through the development and application of innovative technologies" – and Dr. Jakob Handte was also present to share in this distinction. The project team received this award for efforts which include the successful employment & integration of innovative new components and solutions in measurement and control technology, successfully supporting classical applications in exhaust air cleaning and resulting in a decisive improvement in energy efficiency. This particularly applies to the Handte Stream, a solution which has already been honoured by the German Environmental Award of the DBU (German Environment Foundation) and is the world’s only compact interface for the measurement & optimised control of volumetric streams.
 
Handte Umwelttechnik has worked very closely and extremely successfully with Daimler project engineers for many years in a variety of projects. Honouring of this award-winning project team is further recognition of the successful cooperation in a spirit of partnership which Handte Umwelttechnik fosters with its customers, an approach which pays dividends in customer loyalty.
